Flow FM’s Alex Zastera is retiring on 1 March after 30 plus years. In a radio broadcasting career that spanned many areas, Zastera was awarded 3 Commercial Radio Awards for news reading and breakfast announcing and was a finalist in the individual sales achievement award on 3 occasions. Flow FM station owner Wayne Phillips has told radioinfo: “Alex has excelled in the industry in both on and off air disciplines and is a great friend to many in the 12 radio stations and one television station where he has worked.”

His 6 years at Flow FM were at a critical time in a new station’s development and “his knowledge of all aspects of radio, plus his strong principles, have been greatly appreciated,” says Phillips. “We wish he and his wife Viv a long and happy retirement.”

A function will be held to celebrate his career and achievements on 24 March in Murray Bridge. Contact Hannah Phillips at Flow FM on 08 8566 3151 if you would like to attend.
