Without any further ado, the 2023 ACRA Awards finalists are below. Congratulation to them.
Applying the lyrics to the Hot Chocolate track "Everyone's A Winner" there's an award for everyone in the ACRAs except those in the engineering and ICT fields.
The US Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the combined entities the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (ATAS), the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS), and the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (IATAS) present the Academy Award and Emmy for technical excellence.
So why don't the ACRAs award those who keep and maintain the stations on air!
Similarly the same should apply for a Logie award for technical excellence in broadcast TV, subscription and streaming.
Thank you
Anthony, engineering seems not to be highly regarded, yet it's important, Strathfield South, in the land of the Wangal and Darug Peoples of the Eora Nation
I apologise.
From the above nominations list, there is a very small section, so small you could easily miss it:"BEST INNOVATION IN ENGINEERING".
At least describe the roles each nominee in the engineering innovation was achieved. We don't know what was achieved.
It helps to appreciate the roles these people play in keeping a station on air.
With the change in technology, the list of nominees could be expanded.
Thank you,
Anthony, Strathfield South, in the land of the Wangal and Darug peoples of the Eora Nation
