Ahead of the return of The Hundred, the show hosted by radio, TV and podcast host Andy Lee, he spontaneously popped in for a visit to the Hit Network’s Carrie and Tommy while they were playing the Time Game with contestant Shae. As it turns out Andy know his way around five thousand (milliseconds that is) too.
How the game works is that the contestant has to stop the clock at exactly 5.00 seconds, not a millisecond either side. The jackpot was $3,400 jackpot and Shae was patiently waiting while Carrie and Tommy were “padding’ (Andy’s words) waiting for him to turn up. His wise mouth saw Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little throw Andy in the deep end to play on Shae’s behalf.
You can watch the outcome below:
Cue screaming, hugs, and utter disbelief. Even Andy was floored.
“NO! REALLY?” Andy yelled, as Carrie declared, “People are not going to believe this.”
Andy: “NO! REALLY?”
Carrie: “People are not going to believe this.”
Tommy: “If I was listening to this, I would have a high level of scepticism. Can you (Andy) say hard on heart this was all above board?”
Andy: “Absolutely. I was doing the tried-and-true ‘cats and dogs’ method (of counting). And what’s amazing, Shae, is I’m only taking 87% commission! (laughs)”
Some people really do have all the luck.
Listen to Carrie and Tommy on the Hit Network from 3-6pm weekdays, also on LiSTNR.
