The ABC will cover Anzac Day services in all states and territories on Monday 25 April, as marches return to towns and cities across the country.
Live coverage of state and territory dawn services as well as the National Dawn Service and Ceremony from Canberra will be carried on Radio National, ABC Local Radio and on the ABC listen app from 5.30am (AEST) and across all ABC platforms. It will incorporate a minute’s silence and an acknowledgement of Light up the Dawn when Australians will mark a minute’s silence wherever they are – from their driveways, balconies, front gates or farm gates.
With the return of overseas ceremonies, the ABC will also be broadcasting the Gallipoli Dawn Service and Villers-Bretonneux Dawn Service.
“Anzac Day continues to be one of the largest and most important events the ABC covers. As we see a return to commemorations and dawn services, we will have ABC crews in all our major cities and in towns covering these events and broadcasting them to Australians wherever they may be,” says Director of ABC Regional & Local, Judith Whelan.
The ABC will also mark the day with special programming on ABC Television and ABC iview including the documentary The Many Days of Anzac at 5:30pm on Sunday 24 April and 2:30pm Monday 25 April.
Broadcast times and schedules can be found on the ABC Anzac Day website.
