Applications closing soon for AFTRS 2016 courses

Applications for the 2016 AFTRS Radio award course offerings are now open.

Students can study full-time, part-time, on campus or online.

The Graduate Diploma in Radio is AFTRS’ full-time flagship course, delivered in state of the art digital studios at in Sydney. 

This hands-on, highly practical course produces creative radio professionals capable of contributing to and shaping the broadcast industry now and in the future. 

The course is firmly based in practical craft development, and revolves around an exciting program which features four pop-up radio stations, which stream online. Students meet radio professionals from all sectors who teach, mentor, inspire and often later employ our graduates, passing on their currency and experience.
 
Advanced Diploma in Radio Essentials is part-time on campus and runs for 32 weeks, seven and a half hours each week. 

This is a highly practical course where students develop their ability to create and deliver content for radio and other digital platforms. Students work individually and in teams to learn the craft of radio and build foundational skills in radio broadcasting.
 
Diploma in Digital Content (Radio) is delivered part-time online over 16 weeks and offers students the technical and creative skills to produce great online content which integrates with on-air. 
 
This course is ideal for those currently working in industry who are looking to broaden and enhance their skill base, as well as those hoping to enter the industry via digital content production roles.

By the end of the course students have the skills to become an innovative and visionary digital content producer in the fastest growing area of radio. 
 
Core Radio Skills runs over six weeks for approximately five hours per week. This course helps students develop their voice and learn how to write for radio. 
Students discover interview techniques which work and gain skills in preparing, producing and presenting radio programs that speak to their audience. 

The December 1 deadline for these courses is rapidly approaching and anyone interested should apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
