ARN creates a new management role

The position of National Trading Director is a new one on us

If there’s another radio organisation that has one already, we’ve missed it. Otherwise ARN is the first kid on the block to have a National Trading Director on their team. Now everyone will want one.

Okay, maybe its not that new, its just a different title to the one at SCA called the “National Inventory Manager.”

Either way, if you’re not familiar with the term, here’s what does a National Trading Director (NTD) does.

The NTD makes sure that the pricing of things is competitive and offers good value to the client while optimizing profit margins for the network, on a national basis.

And that’s not just on air schedules, but properly pricing the value of integrated packages through online and promotions.

The person appointed to this newly created position is Linda Worthington who holds a wealth of media experience, having previously held senior sales and inventory management roles with APN Outdoor and Southern Cross Austereo.

ciarandavis_120In addition to leading the “Traffic and Yield” team, Linda will be a part of the “National Leadership Team,” reporting directly to CEO Ciaran Davis.

Mr Davis says “ARN continues to improve and maximise the value we offer our clients. Good ratings growth, stronger sales presence, proactive idea generation and dynamic pricing and package structures are the ingredients for our success in today’s trading environment. This appointment will further strengthen our position in the market.”
