ARN partners with Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras

ARN has partnered with the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras with Sydney’s KIIS 1065 an official media partner.

The partnership will include KIIS 1065 activations and integrations across the festival including live crosses from the Mardi Gras parade on KIIS 1065.

ARN’s Chief Marketing Officer Anthony Xydis said KIIS 1065 reflects the very best of Sydney, so partnering with Australia’s biggest celebration of love and diversity is a perfect fit.

“KIIS 1065 is a fun, irreverent and vibrant station – from the music, to celebrity guests and of course Sydney’s #1 Breakfast Kyle & Jackie O Show. KIIS 1065 is made for Sydney listeners and we are thrilled to be partnering with such an iconic Sydney event that is one of the world’s great celebrations, bringing our city together to celebrate diversity and equality with people from across Australia and the world,” he said.

Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras CEO Terese Casu said: “The Mardi Gras season is looking a little more fabulous with the appointment of KIIS 1065 as our radio media partner. Mardi Gras is a special time of year for all Sydney-siders and we are excited to spread our message of love, equality and social justice to the wider community through our involvement with KIIS 1065 and ARN.”

Every year the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras gets bigger and better, and 2017 is no exception. Kicking off Friday 17 February, and running for two weeks until Sunday 5 March 2017, the comprehensive program of events, exhibitions, music and theatre is an all-inclusive, all-singing, all-dancing celebration of Australia’s LGBTQI community.

‘Creating Equality’ is the 2017 theme, a message that has been a cornerstone of Mardi Gras’ ethos since its humble beginnings in 1978. Equality means many things, and in 2017 Mardi Gras want to celebrate how far Australia has come in accepting and embracing its LGBTQI communities, and what positive steps there are still to make.
