What is happening on Sydney radio? Retro Friday perhaps.

On WSFM, between 1 and 2pm, legendary Take 40 countdown host Barry Bissell will be on air celebrating 40 years since the very first countdown. Barry I’d like my CDs back when you’re done with them.

Very tongue in cheek I’ve got to ask if Barry was brought in with the Top 40 circa 1984 on CD in case another blue screen Friday outage occurs.

Over at 2GB, breakfast host Ben Fordham is about to head to Paris for the Olympics.

Apparently management has also sorted out an old school contingency plan to cover for Ben, in case of emergency:
