Rap battles have been in the news a bit lately, and STAR FM Shepparton breakfast team Tommy and Candy unwittingly found themselves in one recently.

It all started when Tommy and Candy created a meme using #SHEPPLIFE.

A well known local rapper, Briggs, and his minions accused the STAR FM duo of stealing their # – and called them out on it. This led to a full on social media storm, some very good on-air content and culminated in Briggs challenging the guys to take him on in a rap battle.

They accepted the challenge, and after some help from listeners writing the rap, turned up at the nominated time and place. Here’s what happened:
