Beatles rarity to air on KLFM Bendigo

Radio Legend Ian “Nicko” Nicholls, caught up with the Beatles at Melbourne’s Southern Cross Hotel on June 14 1964 when he was working for 3XY. 

With microphone in hand, Nicko got to sit down and record one on one interviews with John, Paul, Ringo and George.

Nicko, (left) who retired as KLFM breakfast host in 2009 at 71, has given the station exclusive access to KLFM to air the interviews which have been produced into a half hour special with Nicko sharing his thoughts on that historic day.

It will air on Radio KLFM (EON FM) Central Victoria at 2.30pm AEST Wednesday June 11th and repeated this Saturday at 3pm AEST.
