Bianca Dye joins Hot Tomato

Bianca Dye has returned from her break to a new job and a new city. She will join Luke Badnam on Hot Tomato’s Gold Coast breakfast show from next week, initially for a short stint, that may eventually lead to something more.

Bianca Dye went to school on the Gold Coast, graduating from Nerang High, so Hot Tomato is expected to promote her using the ‘local personality returns’ angle.

Dye has told radioinfo she loves the Gold Coast and may decide to stay, if she finds that she likes the early starts:

“My co host Luke Bradnam is a great guy (twin brother of ash at nova Brisbane), but its a been while since I did 4am starts (SEA FM Gosford over 10 years ago!!), so lets see how I go!!

“I love the lifestyle here though and have so many friends – its such an amazing town … its a mini Sydney anyway – just without the crap traffic!”

She was Nova’s top rating morning presenter until she left last year to travel and have a break from radio. She has been recognised twice at the Australian Commercial Radio Awards for Best Radio Personality and has also appeared on Channel Ten’s “Thank God You’re Here” and Nine’s “20 to 1”
