Last night 97.3FM‘s breakfast hosts Bianca, Terry and Bob hosted ‘An extraordinary taste of MasterChef’ to launch the ninth season of Channel Ten’s MasterChef series.
MasterChef celebrity judges Matt Preston and Gary Mehigan joined Bianca Dye, Terry Hansen and Bob Gallagher at Brisbane’s Blackbird Restaurant.
Bianca, Terry and Bob each designed their own menu, all prepared by renowned chef Jake Nicolson of Blackbird Restaurant – including an entree, main and dessert. Jake is a 2 hatted chef and has cooked for celebrity clients including Madonna, Robbie Williams and Katy Perry.
Bob’s menu – which included Wagyu Beef Carpaccio with pickled onion, wattleseed mayonnaise and rye wafers, Roast Rack and brik of organic lamb with minted tabouleh and labneh, sumac and pomegranate, and White and black forest chocolate mousse with cherry icecream – was the winning menu with the most votes on the night.
The audience was made up of VIP guests and 97.3FM listeners, who experienced a vineyard walk-through entry to the event and were seated for their special dining experience.
Each table was dedicated to a specific wine and included tastings in the middle; branded cheese carvings decorated the tables, and guests were served a delicious three-course meal and received personalised gifts.
