Big money raised for local hospital

Heart 107.3’s Dave and Kylie have announced the total raised in their 2016 Give Me 5 for Kids campaign, $408, 654.80.

With key fundraising events including a scenic flight of Tasmania, a gala ball and record breaking wheelie in walks on the Eastern and Western Shores, the GM5FKs team were again stunned with the amount of community support, both from individuals and businesses.

The funds raised in this year’s efforts will go towards the purchasing of much needed paediatric equipment and services to benefit Tasmania’s sick children including a Cardiotocographic (CTG) Monitors so doctors are able to monitor babies in utero, Urodynamics System which is used in the assessment of bladder problems and a second isolette incubator cot for the Neonatal & Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (following the high demand and success of the first one GM5FKs purchased in 2014).

Heart 107.3 Breakfast Hosts and GM5FKs ambassadors, Dave Noonan and Kylie Baxter said: “Once again the Southern Tasmanian Community has outdone itself. The consistently high totals we’re able to donate to the Royal Hobart Hospital each year are a testament to the passion Hobart has for helping out others. It has once again left us stunned.”

Give Me 5 for Kids has continued to grow each year with increased community support, with the beneficiaries of the campaign, the children’s wards and facilities at local hospitals across the country.
