1029 Hot Tomato have found a replacement for Simon Baggs who has decided to move on from Drive.

Big Trev Butler will join Moyra Major in 2022 for the Gold Coast’s newest drive show, and his new co-host says, “Trev is someone I’ve loved working alongside at Hot Tomato for close to 10 years. And now I’m so excited to welcome him to the studio and can’t wait to spend the afternoon with him. He’s always been a favourite of mine and the Gold Coast”

After hitting the spotlight in Big Brother in 2004, Big Trev has been a part of Hot Tomato for over 10 years, working as a 1029er on the streets of the coast and all of the station events.

He says, “I am super pumped to be joining Moysie in 2022. While I’ll miss cruising round as a 1029er, it’s time for a new challenge. I can’t wait to be on-air each afternoon driving the Gold Coast and Tweed home, before I drive home to Banora Point.”

 General Manager, Graham Miles, says, “It’s great to have two well-known Gold Coasters on Hot Tomato each weekday afternoon while the city drives home. Moyra and Big Trev are both connected with our listeners and advertising partners, and having them on-air together should be a lot of fun.”
