Bridge opens for Russell Crowe

The Sunshine Coast SeaFM Morning crew had a bit of a coup this morning when they were visited by Russell Crowe who was in town to visit friend, Steve Irwin, plus play two shows with his band at the Buderim Tavern.

Russell stayed on air with JC & Bridge for over an hour, showcasing songs from his newly released album, “My Hand, My Heart”, taking open line calls from listeners and giving away advance copies of the album on CD.

Bridge, a great stand-up comedian in her own right – began talking comedy and performing with Russell – when unexpectedly, he invited her to open his Sunshine Coast shows with her stand-up act.

Despite Bridge’s protestations that he hadn’t seen her perform, Crowe simply replied that he had a gut instinct about these kind of things – and he was sure she would do an excellent job.

Bridge will open Russell Crowe’s shows at the Buderim Tavern tonight and tomorrow night (Friday & Saturday December 9 and 10).
