Bridget ‘Bridge’ Brousard from the Goldie’s 92.5 Triple M bid farewell to breakfast radio this morning, hosting her final show at her local RSL in Currumbin on the Gold Coast.
Joining the show this morning were guests and listeners who impacted Bridge’s radio career over the years, co-host Flan wrote a song ‘Bridge Over Trouble Waters,’ sung by the 92.5 Triple M team and true to his form, co-host Peter ‘Spida’ Everitt delivered his infamous ‘Spida’s Spray’ dedicated to Bridge.
Bridge announced she would be departing the show in October as she plans to relocate to Tasmania with her husband Jamie.
When she announced in October that she was leaving the show Bridge said it is time for a new adventure, “Talking to the Gold Coast every morning for over 15 years and sharing my life with our listeners has been the greatest gift. I have had so many life-changing moments with listeners that will stay with me forever. But it’s time to mix things up and moving to Flinders Island is definitely mixing things up!
“My husband and I are heading off the grid, to live on a little piece of paradise where you can see the sun rise and set over the ocean every day. We’ll build a few cabins and see what happens!
