Brisbane’s 97.3FM introducing the KIIS brand

Brisbane’s 97.3 FM is in the process of rebranding to KIIS 97.3.

The move to bring the station into line with Sydney and Melbourne branding coincides with the acquisition of nearby Grant Broadcasting stations by ARN, including River 94.9 which has a similar format to 97.3.

ARN’s Chief Strategy & Connections Officer, Lauren Joyce says: “The station is transitioning to KIIS 97.3 as part of ARN’s Superbrand Strategy.

“97.3 is Brisbane’s #1 station and listeners will continue to hear all of the things they currently love about the station but now with a touch of vibrant KIIS energy.”

Former Nova breakfast personality Kip Wightman will join Robin and Terry  on the station’s breakfast show starting next Monday 24 January, after the show announced a delayed return due to covid.

The station finished the ratings year at number one in the Brisbane market.
