After a long campaign to bring Jamie Oliver’s pop up kitchen to Bunbury, the town has missed out to Colonnades Shopping Centre in South Australia, much to the chagrin of Radio South West breakfast hosts Cliff & Dougie.
 
There was tough competition for the spot after the search received a huge response with 170 applications, over 1100 letters of support, 15,000 signatures on petitions and 30,000 likes on Facebook.

Jamie Oliver is not coming to SWIT.
Well done team.
 
But they weren’t the only radio team in WA left disappointed by Mr Oliver over the past couple of days.
 
When 92.9’s Heidi, Will and Woody found out he was visiting his restaurant in Perth, Woody decided he’d go along as ‘The Naked Broadcaster’ to try his chance at meeting ‘The Naked Chef’. But the pair had as much luck as Cliff & Dougie at getting some love from the celebrity chef.
