Calling young regional storytellers and changemakers – entries for ABC Heywire now open

If you are a young person in regional, rural or remote Australia with a story to share or a project making a difference, or you know someone who is, ABC Heywire is now accepting entries.

Heywire (open to those aged 16–22) is a lived experience storytelling competition for young people in regional, rural and remote Australia. Entries can be writing, audio, video or photos.

Trailblazers (for ages 18–28) is a program for young leaders running social, environmental, creative, STEM, educational or community projects. This is open to individuals or groups of up to three.

Participants receive ABC mentoring, national media exposure, an all expenses paid trip to Canberra for the Heywire Regional Youth Summit, and additionally for the Trailblazers, support and opportunities to grow the project.
