Canberra’s FM104.7 Gets Local with Music

Not content with high Australian content to maintain a local feel, Canberra’s FM 104.7 will focus on music that’s even closer to home when it launches its Made In Canberra initiative from Monday, November 3.

Each month FM104.7 will select a local band or artist to profile with airplay, interviews and promotional support for their gigs.

Previously, the station has provided support for the Caught In The Act CD project for three years and more recently has beefed up its local interview content on Monday night’s Homegrown show.

“Made In Canberra is the next logical step” says PD, Geoff Fisher, “We recognise there’s a wealth of local talent in the local music scene and we think it should be recognised. As Canberra’s #1 station, we want to do everything we can to support local talent”.
