Carrie makes Tommy a wingman for real

Carrie Bickmore from the Hit Network’s national drive show Carrie & Tommy, has gifted Tommy Little a Wing Walking experience for his 38th birthday.

It was six months in the making for co-host Carrie to make Tommy’s dream come true.

The Scandinavian Skycats, who are here for the Australian International Airshow in Avalon Victoria, are known for a “catwalk” stunt in costume, and it was only fitting that co-host Carrie made sure Tommy was kitted up correctly.

Tommy was strapped to the wing during take off and as the plane got to a maximum speed of 222kmph (120 knots) and reached a height of 3000ft.

Tommy held on during the joy flight enjoying plenty of stunts mid-air, while Carrie nervously watched from the runway.

Tommy says “My dream was to go wing walking. I didn’t think my radio station would let me do it, but instead they surprised me with it for my birthday. I’m not sure if they love me, or are trying to kill me, but either way I’m happy.”
