Catherine Liddle departs First Nations Media Australia

First Nations Media Australia will begin recruiting for a new CEO following the resignation of Catherine Liddle in January.

Chair of the FNMA, Dot West, said, “We thank Catherine for the contribution she has made to the First Nations media industry throughout her media career, and particularly as CEO of FNMA for the past year.”

“The way Catherine has represented our sector in the Coalition of Peaks and advisory committees has been a source of pride and we are grateful for her hard work through a particularly challenging year in 2020. The Board is also pleased to have a strong team of experienced staff continuing to provide support services to our members through this transition period and beyond.”

Catherine will finalise her role as CEO on Friday 5 February to take on a new position in Melbourne but will continue to provide support to the Board during the transition phase to appointing a new CEO.

FNMA Operations Manager, Jennifer Nixon has been appointed Acting CEO in the interim, with support from Claire Stuchbery – Policy and Stakeholder Engagement, while the Board seeks a new CEO.
