CBAA Conference in Hobart 21-24 October

The annual CBAA conference will be held in Hobart at the Wrest Point Casino this year, 21 – 24 October 2010. The conference is the chance for community broadcasters to meet with station staff and volunteers from around the country, to exchange knowledge, skills and ideas and develop new ways of engaging with your communities.

 

The introduction of community digital radio in mainland capitals, and the sector’s new vision for 2015 means that 2010 will be a busy year for community broadcasting, so practical ways of ensuring the vision becomes a reality will be on the agenda.

 

The theme for the 2010 conference is ‘Lets take charge of our future’ with plenary sessions and workshops covering the following areas:

•                Good Business Practice

•                Community Building

•                Youth Engagement

•                Programming and Content

•                Technology

•                Skill Development
