Brian Pickering of Pet Talk Australia spoke at the CBAA conference about the syndicated programs he has developed for the community sector.

Pickering’s shows, Pet Talk Australia and a series of segments called Pet News Australia, not only bring in new listeners to community radio stations, but also bring in revenue.

At the conference Pickering explained his passion for the programs and how he was leveraging that into revenue benefits for community stations. The program, which originates at 2 Triple H Hornsby, is now heard on 25 community stations around Australia.

During his conference presentation he used recent ABA statistics to show community radio was improving its audience share and so should begin to think of new sources of revenue such as programs like Pet Talk Australia.
