CBAA’s Annual Conference 2002

Registration for the CBAA’s 2002 conference is open.

‘Connecting Communities’ is the theme for the Community Broadcasting sector’s main conference, which will be held from the 8th-10th November at Rydges Lakeside in Canberra.

It will feature workshops, plenary discussions, an expo and a range of social activities including the annual CBAA Awards.

Running simultaneously and integrated into the conference is ‘Speak Up! 2002’ – a conference for young broadcasters, organised by the CBAA and held at the same venue.

The ‘Speak up! Conference’ will commence the day before the main conference on Thursday 7th of November with a series of workshops and plenary sessions specifically for 18-25 year olds. During the main conference a series of workshops will be programmed to work cohesively between traditional broadcasting and emerging broadcasters.

For the main conference this year there will be four major workshop themes:

* Management

* Working with the community

* Programming

* Academic stream

There are early bird rates for registering before 4th of October.
