Celebrating 15 years of triple j Unearthed High

It’s been 15 years since the very first triple j Unearthed High and to celebrate, they are partnering with The Push and Vivid Sydney to bring together Unearthed High alumni from over the years to perform a free, all-ages live concert.

Kicking off at 6pm, Friday 2 June, at Tumbalong Park, Sydney will be Unearthed High finalists LASTLINGS, triple j Hottest 100 heavy-hitters Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers, and previous Unearthed High winners Arno Faraji and JACOTÉNE.

They are also searching the country to find one talented high school-aged act to add to the line-up. Artists can upload their music to triple j Unearthed before midnight Sunday, 14 May, and click the Unearthed High box to be eligible.

triple j Unearthed High is the annual hunt for Australia’s best high school music act.

Throughout its 15-year run, local artists have included the like of The Kid Laroi, Genesis Owusu, George Alice, Japanese Wallpaper, KIAN, Gretta Ray, and Hockey Dad.

15 years of triple j Unearthed High will be brought to life by young people expanding their skills in the live music industry via The Push, an Australian youth music organisation and registered charity.

As a part of the event, The Push is looking for a team of dedicated and enthusiastic tastemakers aged 15-17 to lead the delivery of 15 years of triple j Unearthed High.
