Central Coast’s Hit101.3 releases a limited edition beer

The Central Coast’s Hit101.3 has partnered with local brewer, Bay Rd Brewing, to develop its very own limited-edition beer, ‘Out of the Haze’.

In celebration of COVID-19 restrictions easing, breakfast hosts Gawndy & Ash couldn’t think of a better way to enjoy a pint with Coasties then by creating their very own signature brew with help from listeners.

Ash Pollard, said: “There’s nothing that makes me happier than listener involvement. We do this show for the Coast, it makes sense that we get locals to contribute to creating this sensational brew… and that way, we all take credit!”

Breakfast announcer, Daniel “Gawndy” Gawned, said: “It’s been awesome collaborating with (Bay Rd’s) Grant, Simon and everyone involved at Bay Rd Brewing working to put this together for the Central Coast! From the flavour of the beer to the artwork on the can, it was great to have our listeners involved in the creation of the brew every step of the way!

“Bay Rd’s venue is a place that brings people together and it’s a great reminder of all the good times still to come once COVID-19 is a thing of the past. That’s why we made this beer to celebrate a little light at the end of the tunnel and finally being ‘Out of the Haze’.”

Bay Rd Brewing owner, Grant Buckham, said: “Working with the Hit101.3 team has been absolutely amazing. The collaboration of two wicked brands to bring the Central Coast a great beer, which makes them smile after all the negativity this year, just warms my heart!

“It was great having listeners’ involvement in the process too, it really makes the beer feel like everyone owns it!”

The local collaboration between Hit101.3 and Bay Rd Brewing coincides with SCA’s extensive ‘Shop Local’ campaign that launched in May this year and is providing support to local business across all SCA platforms.
