Classic Wallabies and Classic All Blacks play for Christchurch and TripleM

Triple M’s historic, sold-out Classic Rugby for Christchurch International tomorrow at Brisbane’s Ballymore promises hits, highs and extraordinary rugby when some of the greatest legends of the game from both sides of the Tasman take to the field. Tomorrow morning before the evening game, both teams will join Triple M’s The Cage at Ryan’s Private Dining Room at  the Conrad Treasury Casino for breakfast.

20,000 tickets to the game have been sold to an event that a week ago didn’t exist. The event, the most ambitious in Australian radio history, is set to raise hundreds of thousands for the Christchurch Earthquake Appeal.

The Classic Wallabies will be captained by Triple M’s Marto, joined by Tim Horan,  Sam Scott Young, Garrick Morgan, Chris Latham, Pat Howard, Andrew Heath, George Gregan, Toutai Kefu, David Croft, Nathan Spooner, Sean Hardman, Mark Connors, Tom Lawton, Andrew Blades, Anthony Herbert, Paul Carozza, Jeremy Paul, Dan Crowley, Richard Harry, Andy McIntyre, Geoff Didier, Warwick Waugh, Scott Gourlay and James Grant. They will be joined by former Australian Army player Shane Savage who created spine-tingling radio on Monday morning when he told The Cage of his quest to play for his son who suffers from a brain tumour.

Captained by legend Reuben Thorne, the Classic All Blacks  includes Justin Marshall and a range of Kiwi legends. Trans-Tasman rocker Jon Stevens  will be performing at half time.
