Contract time

It’s contract renewal time in the big city markets. Expect to hear lots about people dropping in and dropping out of the program schedules in the next month. If you’re going round again – congratulations. If this is your last gig at your current station, best of luck with your next move. This is a performance industry and those in the front line realise the reality that when they are no longer popular with the audience they are no longer an asset to the station in their current role. The important thing is that there be a sensible negotiation process and a face-saving exit if required.
