Dan and Ken: Royal Wedding Crashers

Their official invitation seems to have been lost in the mail, but that hasn’t stopped Southern Cross Media’s local works drive team Dan and Ken from planning a trip to  the city of London during the week leading up to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s marriage.

“We received a minor setback when our invitations were lost in the mail,” says Dan Lyons. “But we haven’t let it dampen our spirits.”

“If anything, we’re now more determined than ever to get over there and catch up with Liz and the family for a cup of tea and a few cucumber sandwiches,” adds Ken Green.

Asked about their strategy to get to the main event, the team seemed to have all their eggs in one basket. “We’re just going to ask the doorman if we’re on the list… Or one of the blokes that stands really still and wears one of the funny looking hats.”

Will the Royal Wedding Crashers get through the gate?

The Dan and Ken Show will touch down in the United Kingdom at Easter to get all the gossip from the average and not so average Londoner about the Royal Wedding, chatting to Cockneys and celebrities before they wave the flag for Australia as the Royal Carriage passes by.

They will broadcast live across Southern Cross Media’s 32 national Local Works stations in all states from London from 4.00-7.00pm EST April 27- 29, with a special show to wrap up the day’s events to be broadcast live from London on Saturday April 30 from 7.00-9.00am EST.
