If you work at a radio station, it’s always a good idea to keep a low profile – especially if you’re single, and the self proclaimed ‘Most Eligible Bachelor’ in the office.  Otherwise you could end up being roped into your breakfast teams latest crazy idea.

2DayFM’s Music Director Mathew “Eggo” Eggleston was somehow convinced by breakfast team Dan and Maz to help make radio history this morning.  All he had to do was climb up to the top of Sydney’s Tower Eye, and kiss Bachelor contestant Sandra for 5 minutes and 15 seconds.  Easy right? 

Add in the fact that the whole stranger to stranger kiss was being streamed LIVE on Dan and Maz’s Facebook page, and things start to get a little awkward.

Last week, Sandra missed out on breaking a record with The Bachelor’s Sam Wood, after another contestant was chosen to kiss him for 4 minutes and 10 seconds on top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.  Dan and Maz wanted to help Sandra go one better, and set the challenge to fix a new record for the longest kiss on radio.

Dan and Maz are the first radio show in Australia to use Facebook’s new live streaming feature.  This mornings video had 3,500 live viewers at its peak, with over 10,000 total views and 500 comments in the first hour.
