Dan, Maz and their team celebrated the end of their run on 2Day breakfast yesterday at the pub.

The team fought valiantly against the juggernaught of Kyle and Jackie when they moved to rival KIIS, but never got much traction in the highly competitive Sydney breakfast market.

At the ACRAs, Kyle acknowledged their efforts with some supportive comments from the stage.

They finished with a 3.1% share of the breakfast timeslot in Survey 6. They will be replaced by Rove.

The pair, who were positive and upbeat right until the end of their last show, have built a team that will be “friends for life.”

Dan Debuf says his colleagues were “the best I’ve ever worked with.”

Supporters farewelled the pair on social media, wishing them well for the future.
