2Day FM’s The Jimmy & Nath Show with Emma has just launched a social experiment to spice up the airwaves.

Dating in the Dark is a bold new dating format where love is blind and the awkward first dates are broadcast live for all of Sydney to hear.

How it works: Two singles who’ve never met are sent on a blind date and get to know each other in complete darkness. No cringey bios, no endless swipes, just conversation and chemistry (or lack thereof).

2Day FM listeners are right there with them, thanks to infra-red cameras capturing what they can’t see. Will it be a love story for the airwaves, or an awkward disaster? Either way, it’s already proving to be highly entertaining, with 2Day FM listeners calling in with their hot takes and commenting on the social videos.

The first couple, Dakota and Tahlia, have gone on two dates and there are already red flags flying, awkward silences, and shocking confessions.

The dating episodes are twice a week.
