Digital Radio Christmas sales increase in UK

Digital radio sales were up in the UK this Christmas according to figures released by The Digital Radio Development Bureau.

About 100,000 digital radios were sold in December 2003, a 25% increase on the number expected.

Total sales of digital radios since 2002 are about 400,000, and many more listeners are also hearing digital radio via cable and digital tv receivers.
