dmg Radio announces the appointment of three key roles

dmg Radio Australia announced the appointment of Talitha Conway as Head of Online Content, Matt Dower as Group Production Director and Scott Baker-Smith as Nova 100 Assistant Program Director.

In the newly created role of Head of Online Content, Talitha will work with the national digital team, station programmers, show producers and announcers to oversee dmg Radio’s online portfolio.

With her extensive digital skills Talitha was most recently employed as Online and Social Media Coordinator for Live Nation Australasia.

She was only there from August 2012 to May 2013 before being lured back, the offer of the national role of Head on Online Content, overseeing the dmg Radio’s national on line brands and online team, was too good to refuse.

Talitha got her start in the industry as National Online Coordinator for The Mushroom Group in 2007.

She was previously with dmg Radio as Content Administrator, working on the digital and social media strategy for dmg’s main radio and DAB+ brands, and then as National Digital Content and Entertainment Editor for the Nova and smoothfm networks.

Matt Dower has been promoted to the role of Group Production Director, effective immediately, to oversee all aspects of production and imaging on dmg Radio. Matt started his career as a commercial and imaging producer in February 1994 and worked for the RG Capital and Austereo radio networks over the next 14 years. In December 2008 he joined dmg Radio as Melbourne Production Director before rising to Assistant Group Production Director in 2011.

Scott Baker-Smith (main pic) has an impressive radio career, most recently as Music Manager, responsible for executing the music strategy of SCA’s Digital Radio division. Starting in regional radio in 1995 on the Capital Radio Network, Scott worked as an announcer, Music Director and in promotions. In April 2003 he joined SAFM and Triple M Adelaide as an on air Music Director. Two years later he became Operations Manager and Music Director for Fox FM before being promoted to Assistant Content Director and Music Director in July 2010.

In the role of Nova 100’s Assistant Program Director, Scott will work closely with all departments to deliver compelling and relatable content for listeners while also supporting the station’s programming and sales goals.

Paul Jackson, dmg Radio’s Group Program Director said, “It’s great to have three highly skilled people in the squad. Matt’s extensive production experience makes him the natural choice for the national role. Scott’s programming pedigree and Talitha’s online creativity will be a huge addition for us; it’ll be fantastic to have them join the team.”
