Luckily he is one of Australia’s favourite comedians and has a regular gig on KIIS FM’s Drive Show Dave Hughes has proven in spectacular fashion that he isn’t much of a singer.
Undertaking a challenge laid down by his co-host Kate Langbroek, Hughesy has been taking his wife, Holly, on dates for the first time in years, and it’s fair to say Hughesy is a bit rusty.
He has taken Holly paint balling and re-created their first date including a picnic complete with bagpipe player, but when his Kate charged him with a mission to actually be romantic Hughesy had to bring in some help in the form of singer songwriter Nathaniel.
Keen to make a good impression, Hughesy learnt Nathaniel’s single ‘Always be yours’ – written for his own wife for their wedding day.
It was going to be the ultimate romantic gesture, with Hughesy planned to serenade his wife Holly … by jumping out from behind a shed while she was in the middle of her personal training session.
See what happened.
