DRM noticeboard goes online in India

The Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM) Consortium will launch a new online information website later this week, for all digital radio stakeholders in India.

Led by former All India Radio (or ‘AIR’, India’s public service broadcaster) senior executive, Yogendra Pal, the consortium brings together AIR, commercial broadcasters, chipset and receiver manufacturers, and other expertise from India and abroad.

Pal described the new initiative as “coming at an opportune time as India is preparing for the introduction of DRM”.

Ruxandra Obreja, DRM Chairperson, welcomed the launch of the new ‘Noticeboard’ which can also be found on the DRM website:  “We want all those interested to have an open space to share information, ask questions and get real news about DRM developments and receivers primarily in India.”
