Eastside Radio switches to stereo

Since 1983, community station Eastside Radio has been broadcasting to greater eastern Sydney.
The station caters for a broad and diverse audience providing specialist music, community and arts programs.

Despite broadcasting on 89.7 FM for over 30, years Eastside Radio had always been heard in mono – until now.

A freak storm last November damaged the station’s main and standby antennas. Repairs to these also allowed Eastside Radio to make the switch to FM stereo.

The stereo launch took place at 1pm on Wednesday the 5th of February and first reports indicate the station has never sounded better.
