British singer-songwiriter Ed Sheehan has been announced as the mentor for Nova’s Fresh Discovery talent show.
Smallzy, host of Nova’s Smallzy’s Surgery said, “The addition of Ed Sheeran to Nova’s Fresh Discovery proves how seriously Nova and Warner take this search to find the next great talent. My friendship with Ed led to Nova’s discovering and playing Passenger and Hozier and I can’t wait for Ed to work his magic on an unsigned Australian talent.”
The competition launched last week with hundreds unsigned artists and bands already registered.
Auditions begin in the Perth on Wednesday 18th March and will travel around the country, finishing in Sydney on Sunday 22nd March.
Judges are looking for cutting-edge, contemporary artists who have a vision for their music and their career, and who care about the music they create.
The winner will be announced on Smallzy’s Surgery on Friday 27th March and will receive a recording deal with Warner Music and a mentoring session with Ed Sheeran.
