Ed Sheeran wows ’em at iHeartRadio event

Last week it was Kylie Minogue, last night it was Ed Sheeran.

After a huge day of Sydney performances, Ed Sheeran topped it off last night with an iHeartRadio live event at Sydney’s Paddington Town Hall.

With just 700 lucky listeners and VIPS, who won tickets through KIIS 1065, Ed played an hour long set, covering songs from his brand new album x (meaning multiply), plus some of his best known hits.

Ed’s album x will feature his eagerly anticipated first single Sing produced by Pharrell Williams.

The Paddington venue was revealed on-air yesterday morning during an interview with Kyle & Jackie O.

This Australian iHeartRadio LIVE event is only the second for 2014, with Kylie Minogue iplaying Melbourne last weekend. It follows on from the renowned US iHeartRadio Live series that have been held for artists such as Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars and, most recently, for the launch of Shakira’s new album.

For the exclusive opportunity to win tickets to both iHeartRadio LIVE events, listeners needed to become registered users for iHeartRadio. As a result, iHeartRadio doubled registrations compared to a normal fortnight period since the concerts were announced.

Reaching 30 million registered users faster than any digital service, iHeartRadio in the US has more than 60 million monthly unique users across its network.
