4BC and Magic (previously 4BH) General Manager Anthony Frangi will finish at the station this Friday.
He has been made redundant.
The position of Brisbane General Manager will not be filled in the newly merged Fairfax MRN business.
radioinfo understands that Frangi has already been approached by another Queensland media outlet.
Program Director Steve Kyte’s job has also been made redundant, although Kyte has other program consultancy functions, so it is not known whether or not he will continue to play a network role with the newly merged company.
There has been no official statement from Fairfax MRN at this time.
Frangi was appointed to the position in August 2013.
Really what business/media outlet would be interested in Frangi? His only effectiveness has been to lead two radio stations down the sink with increased costs, poor staffing decisions, lower advertising revenues.
