Just in time for the Christmas season, a new festive radio station has signed with iHeart.
Christmas Talk Radio – run by Brisbane radio duo and festive besties Liam Renton and Vanessa Gibson – is a new festive offering on the airwaves.
Alongside the platform’s stablemate Elf Radio, the new Christmas station offers an alternative to the classic Christmas music, by serving up non-stop festive talk.

Christmas Talk Radio is true to its label – offering 24/7 Christmas chit chat all year round – and has ramped up in the countdown to December 25.
“There’s so much to talk about when it comes to Christmas, and this is proof that we’ll never run out of Christmas topics to dissect, debate and enthuse over,” says Gibson.
And Liam and Ness have had plenty of practise. They’re now into their eighth season of hosting the Christmas Podding podcast, which went global during this year’s Christmas in July celebrations, appearing on the big screen in New York’s Times Square.
With Christmas Podding enjoying continued popularity, the pair turned their talents to launching their own festive radio station in July this year.
Renton says it’s nothing but festive fun right throughout the Christmas season.
“We’ve got tips and tricks, Christmas news every hour, listener polls, we’re solving festive dilemmas and voicing unpopular opinions,” he says.
“Some of the more controversial issues covered on the station include – should kids be invited to Christmas parties when they treat the nibbles platter like a half time bag of oranges?!”
(For the record, Liam is adamant that expensive cheese is not for kids!)
Now that Christmas Talk Radio has joined iHeart, Liam and Ness say everyone can be part of the Christmas conversation, 24/7.
“We love partnering with iHeart. It gives us even more opportunity to spread festive cheer with a larger audience and making sure the spirit of the season is one of joy and hope, without any major mishaps!”
Christmas Talk Radio is live on the iHeartRadio app now or find it here.
