Entries will close on June 13 for the radio categories of the prestigious AWARD, the annual awards for the advertising industry in Australia, Asia and New Zealand.
AWARD, the Australasian Writers and Art Directors Association, will hold judging for its 24th regional award show in July with winners announced on November 28, 2002.
FARB has urged radio stations and agency creatives to get involved and enterthe awards, which recognize the importance of radio advertising within the advertising industry.
The radio categories in AWARD 2002 have been expanded this year. The three new categories include Production in Radio (direction, performance, casting and sound); Best Corporate or Brand Commercial or Campaign and Best Retail Commercial or Campaign.
This means a total of eight categories for radio will be available in AWARD 2002 with radio station and agency creatives eligible to enter all categories.
Chairman of AWARD, Rowan Dean believes the expansion of the radio categories is a crucial addition to AWARD 2002.
“Radio is about the execution of great ideas. No other medium showcases ideas in such a pure, naked light,” said Dean. Entries details at www.awardonline.com.
