‘Finding Future Stars’ the focus at 37th Conclave Learning Conference

Talent and talent development takes centre stage at the 37th Conclave Learning Conference, which is running from July 18-20 at the Doubletree Park Place Hotel, Minneapolis, MN.

Internationally acclaimed author, consultant and speaker Valerie Geller will address the conference, describing what makes a radio superstar. She says, “All of broadcasting’s superstars share certain traits. And the ability to recognise talent is a talent in itself. Most GMs and PDs would love to have a crystal ball they could consult to find out which personalities will work and which will flop. In this session we can’t promise the crystal ball, but there are a few things you can do to recognise tomorrow’s radio superstars.”

The Valerie Geller session is but one of several key sessions focused on talent, content generation and the content creators themselves.

Conclave Executive Director Tom Kay spoke of how this year’s agenda puts talent and talent management in the spotlight, and that it had “been crafted with a sharp focus on this most essential element of programming with the top players in the field coming to Minneapolis to teach”.

Keynote conference speakers include Governor Mike Huckabee and RAB President Erica Farber, while four syndicate talents, Todd Schnitt, George Noory, Andy Dean, and Jim Brickman, will be featured in an All-Star Talent Super Session.

The full agenda is available the Conclave website.
