First advertisers secured for Mix 90s digital radio station

Australian Radio Network and Quattro Group recently launched their groundbreaking digital radio joint venture station, Chemist Warehouse MIX90s. The channel has now secured a range of chemist related advertisers who will be heard on the station, including include Swisse, Reckitt Benckiser, Colgate Palmolive, Sandoz, Pfizer Consumer Health and Sanofi.

Chemist Warehouse MIX90s offers Chemist Warehouse and their suppliers the opportunity to remind customers of offers and promotions available in-store, while also enhancing the customer’s shopping experience. The first batch of advertisers have all recognised the opportunity that the new venture provides, not only for their brands but also for the opportunity to connect with customers at their point of purchase.

“We’re pleased to be involved with Chemist Warehouse MIX90s. It gives us the opportunity to connect with customers at the point of purchase given that 60 per cent of decisions are made in store,” says Radek Sali, CEO of Swisse, Australia’s fastest-growing natural health company.

Australasian Sales Director of Reckitt Benckiser Sandy Mellis identifies Chemist Warehouse customers as savvy. “We’re glad to be able to promote our products to them in store as well as across the DAB + network.” Colgate-Palmolive’s Brett Pearson says the company values its relationship with Chemist Warehouse and is “excited to be partnering them on this venture.”

According to ARN’s National Content Director Duncan Campbell, “the recent figures that show digital radio audiences climbing closer to one million users is incredibly encouraging and exciting. Digital radio listeners have nearly doubled in the past year. ARN is excited to be working with Chemist Warehouse, Quattro Group and all the advertisers who have also recognised this great opportunity to speak to their customers where it matters – right on the shop floor. Not to mention the great ’90s music all Chemist Warehouse customers will now be able to enjoy, enhancing their shopping experience.”

“Chemist Warehouse MIX90s is an Australian media first in terms of digital broadcasting with a narrowcasting objective. With more than 250,000 customers in Chemist Warehouse stores daily, it puts the CWMix90s cume up there with the major commercial FMs from day one,” says Peter Quattro, CEO of advertising agency Quattro Group.

Chemist Warehouse MIX90s will air in Chemist Warehouse stores nationally from September 1st as well as being available right across the DAB + Spectrum in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide for all lovers of the MIX programming, upbeat music from the ’90s 24/7.
