The Triple M Freq Club has taken off in three states and looks set to also be heard in Adelaide soon. As a listener loyalty program Triple M management thinks it is working well. As a radio program it is also connecting with its growing audience.
This week radioinfo finds out a little about the freaky presenter Jacqui Kassulke:
radioinfo: How’s it feel to be known as a freak?
Kussulke: It’s cool as long as it’s spelt FREQ.
radioinfo: Is the Freq Club concept working
Kussulke:Absolutely, the listeners love
it.
radioinfo: Has it been much of a change moving from a Melbourne based drive program to a national evening program?
Kussulke: No not at all. I’m still based
in Melbourne and it’s unreal to have a show that goes to Brisbane &
Sydney as well. It’s still as full-on as doing drive – which I love.
radioinfo: Are you still assistant music directing in Melbourne as well?
Kussulke:I am still assisting Irene Hulme, who is the Triple M Network Music Director.
radioinfo: Tell me about your career – where did you start and what led you
to what you are doing now?
Kussulke:I started in community radio in Coffs
Harbour (2CHY) about 10 years ago, then did the AFTRS full time course, then stints at Mix 106.5 doing mid-dawns, and Sea FM on the Sunshine Coast as drive announcer & MD.
I’ve been with Triple M Melbourne for about 15 months now.
