Freshstream FM expands commercial service to Yorke Peninsula

Remote commercial radio station, Freshstream FM has expanded its operations with the release of 97.3 FM to the Central and North of the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia.

The Southern Yorke Peninsula receives 98.9 FM.

There are 5 retransmissions in the Freshstream group which include a service to the Yarra Ranges near Melbourne on 106.3 FM, the North Mount Lofty Ranges service north of Adelaide on 99.5 FM and the Murray Mallee service on 97.7 FM which covers the Dukes, Princess and Mallee highways.

General Manager Wayne Phillips told radioinfo: “We are delighted to provide a service to another commercially unserviced area in South Australia… The support we have received from the Yorke Peninsula community has been terrific… We are
certainly in a growth faze.”

Freshstream FM, which began in January 2001 has studios in Nuriootpa,
Barossa Valley South Australia and provides a mix of popular country and adult contemporary with a content focus on regional issues.
