Full Vega 91.5FM team go live to air

Yesterday was the first time the complete Vega 91.5FM line-up was heard across the airwaves of Melbourne.

This morning, following Vega 91.5 breakfast with Shaun Micallef, Beverley O’Connor and Denise Scott, Wendy Harmer was heard for the first time by Vega 91.5FM listeners when she said: “…this is the first morning we begin broadcasting into Melbourne and I’m absolutely thrilled to be heard in
Melbourne at last!”
.

The rest of the line-up includes:

Francis Leach – afternoons

Tony Squires and Rebecca Wilson – drive time

Mike Perso – nights

The Vega team will play a diverse range of music from the past 40 years and the best of contemporary music in 2005, combined with talk, entertainment, news, weather and local traffic information, each adding their own individual style of broadcasting to the mix.

General Manager Vega 91.5, Sam Thompson told radioinfo:

“We’ve launched Vega 91.5FM in stages – from August 1 demonstrating 40 years of music, September 5 with Shaun Micallef, Beverley O’Connor and Denise Scott, and now with the full line-up and combination of music, talk and entertainment. It is Day 1 and we expect this to be a slow process, however we are confident from feedback that listeners are enjoying the unique sound of Vega 91.5 and are looking forward to enhancing their experience even further”.
