George Moore farewells 2GB listeners… for now

Earlier this afternoon George Moore signed off from his top rating weekend program on 2GB, The George and Paul Show, for the last time.

But he left the door open for a comeback, telling listeners, “There’s new management here now and I’ve told them: if you should phone me in six months-time, you never know my answer could be yes.”

Moore had resigned from the station last month because he couldn’t come to terms with the old management about defamation insurance.

In the meantime, Moore and his beloved wife, Chris, will be taking an extended overseas holiday which includes a trip to the Antarctic as well as 2GB promotional trip taking listeners to Paris and Athens in June.

Moore’s off-sider, Paul B. Kidd will stay on with 2GB in 2020 but it has not been revealed whether he’ll be doing the same 9am to 2pm timeslot on Saturdays and Sundays.
