Tonight is the big night for Australia’s commercial radio industry as stars on and off the mic are recognised for their achivements in 2019.
Hundreds of guests will ascend the escalators of the Royal International Convention Centre in Brisbane to recognise the award winners at this year’s gala black tie dinner.
Entries were received from 260 metropolitan and regional radio stations. The full list of finalists is here.
The Chaser’s Chris Taylor and Andrew Hansen will host the awards again. They have a special gift of being able to poke fun at every network without really offending anyone with topical jokes that reflect the happenings in the industry over the past year.
The Royal International Convention Centre is at 600 Gregory Terrace, Bowen Hills, the site of the Brisbane showgrounds (not the Brisbane Convention Centre by the river). See MAP.
Red Carpet arrivals will begin at 5pm, and doors will open to the dinner at 6pm.
If you are following the awards at home, keep watching our twitter feed for winners as they are announced.
And we will bring you the winners comments immediately after they win their awards as usual, with a rolling playlist of winners updated through the evening (see last year’s coverage here).
Steve, Peter and Wendy will be at one of the tables for dinner, come and say hi to us at Table 49 during the evening if you are in the room.
Our coverage team for the red carpet and to capture the winners’ comments will be Steve, Wayne and Tyler-Claire Thompson.
Dress is Black Tie. On arrival, check your table number on the displayed lists.
